Matt Johnson

Coach Matt Johnson is entering his 8th year as the Head Football Coach and Director of Athletics at Reeltown High School.

Coach Johnson graduated from Reeltown High School in 2003 and played on the 2001 State Championship team. Upon graduation, he attended Huntingdon College and received a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics while lettering in football for four years as an outside linebacker. Coach Johnson returned to Reeltown and began his coaching career in 2007. He taught high school math from 2008 until 2010. He was part of the 2009 State Championship team. He worked at Andalusia High School from 2010 to 2015 as the Defensive Coordinator and Special Teams Coordinator while coaching inside and outside linebackers. In 2015-16, he taught and coached at Upson-Lee High School in Thomaston, Georgia as the Assistant Head Football Coach over the defense.

Coach Matt Johnson and his wife Hannah of sixteen years, have five children: Demartravius (21), Cruise (15), Emmett (12), Walker (11), and Ellis (7)
